The new Flare linear fireplace offers seamless home automation for modern fireplaces, allowing you to operate it as part of your smart home rather than only with a handheld remote.

Home automation integration never bypasses the fireplace’s physical safety shut-off. It simply adds a central control option, eliminating the hunt for a lost remote. The fireplace can still be operated with the Flare remote when not controlled with automation for more advanced features.

Flare’s smart fireplace tools work with multiple systems. They’re tested and verified with Control4 and many other platforms, giving homeowners flexibility and choice. Every Flare Fireplace ships “Home Automation Ready,” with an installation manual detailing how to connect your system to turn the fireplace off and on.

Two Modes of Operation

Mode 1 — Basic On/Off
In this mode, home automation handles only the ON and OFF functions. All other settings come from the remote. Even if turned on by automation, the remote’s thermostatic mode manages room temperature. In manual mode, the next cycle starts on high fire.

Mode 2 — Full Temperature Control
This mode bypasses home automation and requires the remote for all other functionality. Like thermostatic mode and flame height control.
