Features/Reflective Back & Sides

Twice the fire, half the box.

Flare's Reflective Back and Side panels double the flame and open up the space inside the firebox — a satin-black mirror when lit, an understated matte finish when off.

The panel

A simple way to increase the visual space inside your fireplace — through the reflection produced by the back and side panels when the fire is running.

Flare's reflective panel is made of high-temperature Neo-Ceram — the same material used in high-quality cooktops. The feature can be added before or after the unit has been installed, making the upgrade simple.

Beautiful on. Quiet off.

Flare fireplaces ship standard with a matte black back, letting the fireplace media or RGB LED lighting take center stage during operation.

Upgrading to the high-quality Reflective Back and Side panels creates a reflection of the flame and media, visible while the fireplace is running. When the fireplace is off, the panels appear as a satin black finish — a gorgeous look both while operating and when turned off.

That added depth can be enhanced by including the same panels on the sides of your Flare — perfect for a See-Through, Left, Right, or Passage style fireplace.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the Reflective Back on a Flare fireplace?

The Reflective Back is a high-temperature Neo-Ceram panel for the back — and optionally the sides — of the firebox. When the fire is running it reflects the flame and media to double the flame and add depth; when the fireplace is off it reads as a satin black finish.

What is the reflective panel made of?

High-temperature Neo-Ceram — the same material used in high-quality cooktops.

What makes Flare's Reflective Back better than other reflective panels?

Flare's Reflective Back uses high-end Neo-Ceram glass-ceramic — the same class of material used in cooktops and high-heat stove windows. It has near-zero thermal expansion and withstands roughly three times the heat of standard tempered glass, so it resists thermal shock and, crucially, keeps its finish and mirror-like clarity over years of use. Many other manufacturers use cheaper, non-ceramic panels that can dull, cloud, or discolor as they are repeatedly heated. Because Flare uses true ceramic glass, the reflective back stays crisp for the life of the fireplace.

Can the Reflective Back be added after the fireplace is installed?

Yes. The Reflective Back and Side panels can be added before or after the unit is installed, making it an easy upgrade at any stage.

How does the Reflective Back look when the fireplace is off?

Flare fireplaces ship standard with a matte black back; the upgraded reflective panels appear as a satin black finish when the fireplace is off. By design, the reflective back is barely noticeable when the fireplace is off — it is engineered not to reflect the room when there is no flame to show, so the fireplace reads as a clean, understated black surface until it is lit.

Can the reflective panels go on the sides too?

Yes. Adding the same panels on the sides enhances depth and works well on See-Through, Left Corner, Right Corner, and Passage fireplaces.
