The Flare-VFF-50 is a 50 x 16 outdoor front facing fireplace — a 52 7/8″ wide viewing window with a 16″ regular opening, in a frameless vent-free design. It produces up to 54,400 BTU on natural gas or 48,000 BTU on propane. Because it is vent-free, no chimney, flue or vent run is required.

The Flare-VFF-50 is design certified to ANSI Z21.97-2017 • CSA 2.41-2017 for outdoor gas fireplaces and is approved for outdoor installation only. Installation must follow the Flare Outdoor Vent-Free Installation Manual, the rating plate, local code and the authority having jurisdiction.

The 16″ opening gives a long, low letterbox flame line suited to a patio feature wall, a rooftop terrace or a pool surround. The Flare-VFF-50 is the narrowest of five widths offered in the regular 16″ opening, below the 60″ Flare-VFF-60. The interior can be finished with approved fire glass media — see the Fire Glass Guide below.
